International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women + UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls

November 25th is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and today marks the launch of a global movement featuring 16 days of activism: UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls. This year's campaign is dedicated to addressing digital abuse.

Technology is being used to stalk, harass, and threaten women. Also known as technology-facilitated abuse, digital abuse includes cyberstalking, online harassment, doxxing, hate speech, disinformation, AI deepfakes and non-consensual intimate image abuse.

Digital violence causes real psychological harm and trauma. As technology advances, digital abuse is intensifying, resulting in a need for more awareness and better protections for survivors.

Together, we must take a stand against digital abuse.
